This exhibition is currently being shown on Yle Text in Finland!
To celebrate five decades of teletext, Ceefax’s golden anniversary, we are hosting an online festival of teletext art.
Artists are asked to respond to the following prompts:
- What else was happening in 1974, teletext’s birth year?
- How would you celebrate teletext’s 50th birthday?
- What other significant events took place during teletext’s lifetime?
Your art shown in Finland!
Our 50th anniversary artworks will be shown on Finnish public teletext from 8th October 2024, and we are offering you the opportunity to be exhibited!
Simply add your art to Chunkytext and it will be put forward for broadcast. If you wish to be attributed, don’t forget to add your name/alias to your artwork.
The final deadline for submissions will be the end of September 2024.
By submitting pages to be shown on Yle, you retain full copyright of your art but give permission for it to be shown on Yle and an archive to be kept on Demozoo.org.
You can enter as many pages as you like, but be aware that copyrighted characters may not be suitable for broadcast on Yle.
You don’t have to respond to the prompts! We are just looking to build an exhibition of attractive teletext art.
